EnergySec is proud to be members of the following organizations dedicated to improving security in the energy sector.
It is important that we stay connected with regional organization like Northwest Public Power Pool (NWPPA). Serving nearly 160 public/people’s utility districts, electric cooperatives, municipalities and crown corporations in the Western U.S. and Canada, NWPPA provides EnergySec the opportunity to share our security messages with their members. EnergySec became an associate member of NWPPA because they share our passion for helping the industry.
The American Public Power Association (APPA) is a national organization serving more than 2,000 community-owned electric utilities. EnergySec joined APPA to be connected with an organization with strong roots in legislative and regulatory forums. As cyber security dominates these national discussions EnergySec believes our association with APPA benefits both organizations.
Cyber security is an important matter in the electric cooperative sector and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) has taken a strong leadership role in promoting that premise. EnergySec became an associate member of NRECA because of its commitment to security enhancements for the cooperatives. NRECA serves more than 900 not-for-profit rural electric cooperating and public power districts.
