The NERC CIPv5 deadline is fast approaching, and it’s not too late to be prepared. Join Mark Prince, Manager Operational Technology Fossil, from Entergy, and Tim Erlin, Director from Tripwire to discuss achieving and maintaining NERC CIPv5 compliance in a fossil generation plant. We’ll cover some of the challenges that Entergy has experienced in their NERC CIPv5 compliance journey. Specifically, we will discuss configuration change management and how to leverage technologies for these requirements and consider what life would be without them.
Employee of Entergy for 36 years performing various responsibilities in Fossil fueled power plants. While attending Lamar University for BS in Computer Science spent 3 years as an equipment operator, 10 years as DCS technician, 9 years in project engineering, 9 years in maintenance and production supervision and 5 years as OT Manager for Fossil plant CIP implementation projects.
Tim Erlin is a Director, Security and IT Risk Strategist at Tripwire, responsible for the Solutions and Strategy. He previously managed Tripwire’s Vulnerability Management product line, including IP360 and PureCloud.. Erlin also managed policy compliance and reporting products. Erlin’s background as a Sales Engineer has provided a solid grounding in the realities of the market, allowing him to be an effective leader and product manager across a variety of products. His career in information technology began with project management, customer service, as well as systems and network administration.
Erlin is actively involved in the information security community. His contributions include blogging, podcasts, press, speaking and television.
