EnergySec has organized an annual cyber security summit for each of the past six years. We have witnessed this event grow into a forum that produces a fantastic mix of discussions, presentations and, most importantly, opportunities for attendees to share their ideas, solutions and concerns. The purpose of our summit has always been to help promulgate the EnergySec mission of improving the reliability of energy systems through the sharing of good security practices and information about cyber security challenges that stand before us. We remain committed to that mission.
EnergySec is currently engaged in the full-time endeavor of establishing the National Electric Sector Cybersecurity Organization under a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. Our obligations under this grant make it difficult for us to devote the energy and resources necessary to continue growing the summit into the world class event we envision.
We are excited to announce a new partnership that will ensure a strong future for our signature event. Beginning this October, EnergySec will combine our annual summit with the Smart Grid Security conference series. This partnership will allow the summit to be professionally managed and supported, while ensuring that the content and format continue to meet the high standards our participants have come to expect.
We look forward to the future and appreciate your support as we grow. More details about this event will be announced over the next several weeks. At this time you can find details about it here: http://www.smartgridsecuritysummit.com/
